Nikita is our Papa. He's AKC registered and has a white coat. His coarse coat is sculptured with long mane, pantaloons, and feathering, and shorter fur at his midriff. He's calm and has a gentle disposition, and likes to be nearby whatever we're doing. He also has a nice, smooth gait, and can jump a 6-foot fence in a single bound! Nikita is 22 1/2" tall, and weighs 55#. Nikita has a large muzzle, and an overall appearance reminiscent of the original Bjelkier dogs of a century ago.
Kiska will be having her first litter fall of 2010. She's also a go-getter, and sledding really went well when she was added to the team last winter. Kiska has beautiful, penetrating dark brown eyes, a longer muzzle and a coat very similar to Nikita's: coarse-textured with long mane and pantaloons. She has very erect ears and a longer neck and she stands 22" tall. Kiska also has a very nice pedigree with several show champions in her lines. |

| Misha is a real go-getter, and is the natural leader of our sled-dog team. She's full of energy and loves to work and to play. Misha is AKC registered, with a nice pedigree, including many show champions in her ancestry. She's pure white, with a soft, generally-same-length-all-over coat. Misha is 22" tall, and weighs 58#. She isn't as photogenic as her sister, Danika, and so the pictures of her don't do her justice. However, we sometimes have difficulty telling the two apart, so if you look at the picture of Danika, there is little difference between the two. See Misha's picture on the "About Us" page. |

| Danika is full sister to Misha, and is also AKC registered and has a nice pedigree. She is somewhat calmer than her sister, but also loves to play and to work pulling sled or skis. Her coat, too, is a soft, pure white, generally same-length-all-over coat. Danika is 22" tall, and weighs 53#. |

| Shura is our "prissy little city-slicker dog" according to our daughter! She's a reluctant participant in our sled-pulling ventures, but loves to stick close to home and snuggle by the fire, or dash around the place playing with the birds and hunting the small wildlife. She has a long, silky, sculptured (meaning very long mane and pantaloons), smooth, "fox-type" coat that no longer conforms to the Samoyed breed standard. Her undercoat sheds out completely in summer to leave her cooler. Not very tall, Shura stands just over the breed standard at 19 1/2" tall, and she weighs 45#. Shura is not currently AKC registered. As she's gotten older, we've lost hope that this situation will change. We'd hoped that her pups would be able to be registered at some point in the future, but since the situation is out of our control, it looks as though AKC papers will not become available for her.
